Not a lot going on as usual, but...

Graham managed to return from Egypt on time, after successful Plant Acceptance Testing at Helwan.  Hard work, long days and once more no chance of seeing any of the local sights.  It seems the only way now will be to go over there for a holiday!.  Weather was quite warm late 30's early 40's most of the time reaching around 60 in the sun.

Father's day today (19th June), this year Lily successfully wrote ALL of the words herself, clever girl.

Graham's 46th birthday on the 25th June went off without a hitch.  Work all day, good friend Sue came round for a BBQ in the evening with her two sprogs.  Naturally drank FAR too much wine and was rather delicate for a trip on The London Eye the following day.  Graham was VERY surprised to find Lara waiting at Richmond railway station, whilst on their way into town, apparently Carol had arranged it with her as a surprise for him, which obviously worked!  Great time was had by all.

17th July, the girls have just taken delivery of a very nice playhouse which is now situated at the end of our back garden. Both of them love it to bits and we're sure will spend many a happy hour playing in it.

23rd July, decided that it was about time Penny started sleeping in a bed.  Lily already knew that we had a bunk bed secreted in our loft and has been pestering for AGES to be allowed to sleep it, she was told however that the top bunk was out of bounds until she was a bit older (or so we thought).  Thus, cot was dismantled and the bottom bunk assembled, at this point we realised we had a BIG problem.  The girl's room was not big enough for 1 3/4 beds, two chests of drawers and a wardrobe!.  So Lily got her way and is now sleeping in the top bunk, with Penny finally settling down (it only took a week) in the one underneath.

8th August, gloriously sunny now after a few days of torrential rain and thunderstorms.  Decided it was about time we put a section on the site about our family history.  Thus Graham has created a whole new bit with details of his family tree, Carol's side will be merged at a later date once he's got it all together and put it into one big file.

12th September, been a bit lax in updating the site.  Graham had a week off work at the end of August which resulted a brief, but enjoyable, camping holiday in the Cotswolds.  We stayed next to a rare breeds farm near Stow on the Wold, pictures to follow shortly.  Lily is back to school now and enjoying every minute of it.  Penny goes into hospital on 23rd of this month for an operation to clear the tear duct in her left eye, which has been blocked since she popped out 18 months ago.  The National Health Service is really on the ball over here.

19th October, our 8th wedding anniversary, went out to local Italian restaurant for a very nice meal.

27th October, Lily's 4th birthday, it has a page of it's own.

25th December, Christmas Day!, lots of overseas phone calls and lots of Xmas presents for the girls.  Graham's oldies came over for dinner asnd we all had a wonderful time.

27th February, Lily managed to write the word Snow, spelling it all by herself, clever girl.

4th March, odd day today, we have had a frost overnight then snow, sleet, rain, hailstones the sizes of peas and a thunderstorm, all in the space of four hours!

6th March, Mother's Day.  Mummy had a nice lie in this morning and was served breakfast in bed, by Lily who also presented her with the lovely card that she had made at school.  Graham's olds came over for Sunday lunch and we all watched the first Formula 1 Grand Prix of the season on the telly.  It has finally stopped snowing.

21st March, Graham's favourite Aunt Pat died after a six month illness.  His mother's only sister, he spent quite a large portion of his younger years visting her in New Malden and our families often holidayed together.  He has many very fond memories and she is dearly missed by us all.

22nd March, Penny's birthday.

5th April, Penny started 'Little Acorns' today, couldn't wait to in, oh how things were to change!

17th April, Decided to holiday once more in NZ and booked the tickets.  Leave here on the 26th July return on 20th August.  Travelling by Singapore Airlines (a first for us) via, would you believe Singapore!.
