'I told you there was too much fruit on it'

It's funny, our plum trees have never done much in the way of producing fruit and this spring, they flowered as usual (admittedly there were rather a lot of flowers) and we had a late frost, which usually stuffs up the fruit production.  But, surprisingly most of the flowers set and we waited for the fruit to grow.  It grew and it grew and we'd never seen so much on a single tree.  The branches sagged under the weight until SNAP one of the main ones broke yesterday.  Click on the image to see a larger version in a new window.
